1/26: Freezing Rain Sunday AM

A Freezing Rain Advisory has been issued for Macon and Monroe counties early Sunday morning for the potential of accumulating ice due to freezing rain. As surface temperatures drop below freezing between 3-10am, freezing rain will be possible, mainly north of I-70 and east of HWY 63. A glazing to up to a tenth of an inch is possible before temperatures warm and the freezing rain transitions to rain.Even with temperatures warming through the day, icy patches will be possible on untreated and elevated surfaces. While roads could be slick, the ice is not expected to cause problems to trees or power lines.
