1/24: Arctic Air Returns

Arctic air will settle over Mid-Missouri Thursday giving us another very cold day. Temperatures will start off near 10 degrees in the morning with wind chills near zero, only climbing to the mid 20s by afternoon with wind chills in the teens. Low level moisture will move in from the south Thursday evening with some light freezing rain or sleet possible overnight. Precipitation amounts will be very light but could be enough to produce a light glazing of ice on untreated roads and elevated surfaces. Precipitation chances end by daybreak Friday with skies clearing and warming afternoon temperatures to near 40.
