According to the Consumer Product Safety Commission threads in the lids may shrink when exposed to heat which can cause the lid to fall off during use, which could cause someone to get burned.

The recalled impacts Stanley's Switchback a Trigger Action stainless steel travel mugs that were sold in white black and green in 12 ounce, 16 ounce and 20 ounce sizes.

The affected mugs were sold at Walmart, Amazon, Dick's Sporting Goods, Target and other stores nationwide and online from June 2016 to December 2024.
