RECALL ROUNDUP: Handheld steam cleaners and natural tahini recalled

Consumer Product Safety Commission

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

Bissel Steam Shot Handheld Steam Cleaners

The Consumer Product Safety Commission has recalled over 3.2 million Bissel Steam Shot Handheld Steam Cleaners because they pose a burn hazard.

Regulators say the steamers can spray out hot water or steam onto users while the product is heating up or during use.

The recalled steamers were sold at Target, Walmart stores nationwide and online on Bissel's website, Amazon and other websites from August 2008 to May of this year.

CPSC says users can get a $60 credit by contacting Bissell or a $40 refund for each recalled steamer.

Users are urged to stop using the recalled streamers immediately.

Al'Fez Natural Tahini

The Food and Drug Administration has recalled AB World Foods U.S. Natural Tahini.

The recall is for the company's 5.6-oz. jars because they may be contaminated with salmonella.

The recalled jars were sold at retail stores starting at the end of May and have a "best before" date of July 11 and 24 this year. The lot numbers are:

  • 2024 JL 31
  • 2024 SE 09
  • 2025 MR 27
  • 2025 AL 04

The lot codes can be found on the back of the jar.

The FDA says users should throw the product away or return it for a full refund.
