RECALL ROUNDUP: Insulin pump and some Ford cars being recalled

Katie Greathouse

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

The FDA issued a recall for a popular insulin pump and the Ford Motor Company is recalling thousands of vehicles.

Medtronic MiniMed 600 series insulin pumps are being recalled for giving the wrong dosage of the drug. More than 300,000 pumps are part of the recall.

If you think your device is affected, you are asked to call Medtronic or talk to your doctor.

Ford is recalling 240,000 SUVs for a suspension part that can fail and cause drivers to crash. The call back includes Flex, Taurus police vehicles, Taurus SHO and Lincoln MKT models made between 2013 and 2018.

The carmaker said dealerships will replace the part for free. Affected owners will be notified in March.
