Deadline approaching for “Toys for Columbia’s Youth”

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

The deadline for Columbia residents to donate toys to the city's "Toys for Columbia's Youth," is Dec. 6, which is also the deadline for those looking to apply to participate in the program.

For those looking to apply, an application is available on the city's website.

The city asks applicants for proof of income, along with additional basic information such as a valid email address and the names and ages of the children participating.

The city is also reminding applicants they will not be eligible if they are already participating in another assistance program, such as Toys for Tots.

For those looking to donate toys, there are multiple drop off locations across Columbia.

Drop off locations include City Hall, the ARC and the Armory Sports Center with monetary donations also being accepted at the Parks and Recreation main office.
