Drought in Missouri leads to extra work to maintain Christmas trees; tree prices expected to increase

Mike Parson recently signed an executive order to extend the drought alert in the state until May 1, 2024. MDC: 193,669 deer harvested during November portion of firearms season

JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. (KMIZ) Preliminary data from the Missouri Department of Conservation shows that 193,669 deer were harvested in the state during the November portion of firearms deer season, according to a Wednesday press release. The season ran from Nov. 11-21. Of the harvested deer, 105,614 were antlered bucks, 16,081 were button bucks, and 71,974 were does, the release states.
