Hallsville police chief resigns

The Hallsville Police Department confirmed its police chief resigned this week. Gabe Edwards was originally hired in May 2015. He previously worked for the Boone County Sheriff’s Department, Boone County/Columbia Joint Communications, Mexico Public Safety, and Auxvasse Police Department. The department would not elaborate on why Edwards resigned.
