A Fulton woman was arrested Sunday morning after a high-speed chase in Callaway County.
According to a news release from the Callaway County Sheriff’s Office, Sydney Akers, 29, “nearly T-boned” a deputy vehicle around 11 p.m. Saturday on Westminster Drive near 4th Street, resulting in the deputy’s attempt to pull her over.
A pursuit ensued as Akers drove westbound on State Road F. The release says she intentionally pressed the brakes several times in front of the pursuing deputies chasing her, causing a crash that damaged a patrol vehicle and her own.
