The National Weather Service in Springfield has issued a

* Flash Flood Warning for…
Northwestern Miller County in central Missouri…
Southeastern Morgan County in central Missouri…

* Until 345 AM CDT.

* At 946 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing
heavy rain across the warned area. Between 2 and 4 inches of rain
have fallen. The expected rainfall rate is 2 to 4 inches in 1
hour. Additional rainfall amounts of 2 to 4 inches are possible in
the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin
shortly.

HAZARD…Life threatening flash flooding. Thunderstorms
producing flash flooding.

SOURCE…Radar.

IMPACT…Life threatening flash flooding of creeks and streams,
urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses.

* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include…
Eldon, Lake Ozark, Barnett, Olean, Bagnell, Lakeside, Aurora
Springs, Rocky Mount, Lakeview and Lake of The Ozarks.

This includes the following low water crossings…
Blue Springs Creek at Highway Z.
Turn around, don’t drown when encountering flooded roads. Many flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Move to higher ground now. Act quickly to protect your life.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.
