Flood Warning issued April 2 at 8:49AM CDT until April 2 at 2:15PM CDT by NWS Kansas City/Pleasant Hill MO

* WHAT…Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues.

* WHERE…Portions of east central Kansas, including the following
county, Linn and west central Missouri, including the following
counties, Bates, Cass, Henry, Jackson and Johnson.

* WHEN…Until 215 PM CDT.

* IMPACTS…Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying
and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…
– At 847 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicates most of the earlier
rainfall has moved east of the warned area. Flooding is
ongoing across much of the warned area with numerous roads
closed. Between 2 and 6 inches of rain have fallen.
– Flooding impacts will continue, but little additional
rainfall is expected.
– Some locations that will experience flooding include…
Warrensburg, Harrisonville, Clinton, Pleasant Hill,
Greenwood, Butler, Knob Noster, Holden, Lake Lotawana,
Adrian, Garden City, Rich Hill, Pleasanton, La Cygne, Mound
City, Whiteman Air Force Base, Archie, Lone Jack, Linn Valley
and Leeton.

Turn around, don’t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
