Nate Splater
Forecaster Nate Splater joined the ABC 17 Stormtrack Weather Team in the summer of 2020.
He's from a small town in southern Arkansas and came to mid-Missouri to pursue a degree in meteorology at Mizzou in 2018. Even though it’s been a few years since he first came to Columbia, Nate is still not used to how much cooler and dryer it is compared to home.
Some of his hobbies include hiking, reading and baking. Nate also enjoys watching professional surfing, which is a little hard to find in a landlocked state.
Nate has been interested in meteorology since he was around 8 years old. The meteorologists on TV were his role models and he wanted to talk about the weather just like they did!
