Melissa Houston joined the ABC 17 News team in June 2026 as a multimedia journalist.

She graduated from Pepperdine University in May 2026 with a bachelor’s degree in journalism and an emphasis in screen arts.

Melissa’s hometown is San Antonio, Texas.

Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her friends, family, and cat Frankie.
