Olivia Hayes

Olivia Hayes joined the ABC 17 News team in June 2025 as a multimedia journalist. She previously worked as a production assistant and interned at the news station.

Olivia grew up in Columbia and graduated from Rock Bridge High School in 2022. She went on to the University of Oklahoma where she completed her bachelor’s degree in journalism in 2025 from the No. 1 media program in the country, according to the 2025 Broadcast Education Association rankings.

While in college, she worked on the No. 1 student broadcast in the state of Oklahoma, OU Nightly. She spent time in on-air roles as an anchor and senior reporter and worked behind the scenes in various positions on the production crew.

Outside of work, Olivia loves to spend time with friends, family, and her cat Mabel. She cherishes self-care and tries to prioritize a steady work-life balance as much as possible.
