Storms arrive tonight creating for a soggy morning commute tomorrow

TONIGHT: Some spot showers are possible through the early evening, but more widespread rain chances increase late tonight as our next storm system approaches from the west. An upper trough will move through, kicking off moderate rainfall into the morning with a few embedded thunderstorms, but nothing will be severe. Temperatures overnight will fall into the upper 40s and low 50s.

THURSDAY : Storms with heavy rain enter into our southwestern counties through 5-6 AM. Through the morning commute rain and storms will lift northeast become widespread as you head off to work. Through the first half of the day expect soggy conditions. By the afternoon showers and storms break up, becoming widely scattered, but there still is a rain chance through Thursday evening before tapering off through the night. Highs will be limited in the upper 50s to near 60 with winds out of the east up to 6 mph.

EXTENDED: We’re back in the middle 60s Friday, with those dry conditions sticking around, briefly. Unfortunately, it looks like we’ll be tracking our next chance of rain shortly after this dry time, by this weekend. Models have yet to come into an agreement, but we could see rain chances returning as early as Saturday afternoon, or holding off until late Saturday night. Regardless, it looks like temperatures in the afternoon both Saturday and Sunday will be in the low 70s. Those rain chances from the weekend look like they could spill over into Monday before coming to an end.
