Quiet weather continues into Tuesday

TUESDAY: Clouds are attempting to help out these temperatures this morning, but it will still be a cool start to your Tuesday. We’ll warm up this afternoon, getting back into the middle 50s for many of us, as partly cloudy skies become mostly clear. Winds will be light out of the east.

TONIGHT: Mostly clear skies will let us cool off again tonight. It doesn’t look like we’ll be getting quite as chilly, but still dropping into the middle 30s tonight. Winds will be turning out of a more southeasterly direction throughout the night.

EXTENDED: Those winds continue to turn out of a more southerly direction and will be a bit breezy heading into Wednesday. This will help temperatures push toward 70 degrees on Wednesday, under partly cloudy skies. That beautiful weather will only be around for the afternoon, as our next chance of rain is moving in late Wednesday night into Thursday morning. A cold front moves through the region initially, but we’ll be tracking multiple opportunities for rain through Saturday. With swollen waterways already in place, flooding could become an issue this weekend after 1-2″ of rain falls, with the highest amounts north of I-70.
