Former Mizzou wide receiver Jeremy Maclin announces retirement from NFL

Former Mizzou wide reciever Jeremy Maclin announced his football career is over as he is retiring from the NFL.

Maclin played eight seasons in the NFL after the Philadelphia Eagles drafted him in the first round of the 2009 NFL Draft.

Maclin finished his NFL career with 514 receptions, 6,835 yards receiving and 49 touchdowns. He played five seasons for the Eagles before joining the Kansas City Chiefs for two seasons and the Baltimore Ravens for one year.

Maclin joined Mizzou in 2006 and played for the Tigers during the 2007 and 2008 seasons. He had more than 2,300 receiving yards and 28 total touchdowns for the Tigers. Maclin was also a key member on the Mizzou team that won the 2008 Cotton Bowl.
