Clouds slowly clear out Monday, Temperature cool to start the week

TONIGHT: Some scattered showers are possible east of highway 63 overnight. For the most part, much of Mid-MO is drying out after evening storms. Temperatures will drop into the low to mid-40s and hover there through the morning.

MONDAY: We’re tracking the main cold front moving through Mid-MO early tomorrow morning, that will lead to slow clearing for our northern counties through the afternoon hours tomorrow. Places along and south of I-70 will likely be stuck in the clouds for most of the day. Temperatures won’t do all that much into Monday… We’ll hover in the mid-40s for much of the day. It’s a chilly, raw day across the region.

EXTENDED: We’re tracking quiet conditions through the middle of the week, along with steadily warming temperatures through Thursday. A cold front will approach our area Thursday afternoon and bring another shot at thunderstorms by Thursday night and Friday. Severe storms aren’t expected at this time, but we’ll continue to track any change in that situation throughout the week.
