No one injured in Moberly house fire

UPDATE 5:25 A.M.: No one was hurt in a fire that took place Saturday afternoon in Moberly.

The Moberly Fire Department said the fire started after a man was “cleaning up” his yard, including burning trash.

The department said the fire was accidental.

The house is a total loss.

ORIGINAL STORY: Moberly police and fire crews responded to a house fire in the 700 block of Benson Street Saturday afternoon.

According to a 6 p.m. tweet, authorities described it as a ” large house fire. ”

Several surrounding streets were blocked off as crews staged in the area.

” Please avoid this area, ” police said in the tweet.
