Winds gradually subside as colder air moves in

TONIGHT: As the strong system moves to our northeast, remnant moisture looks to rotate around the western side and into Mid-Missouri which will lead to a chance at drizzle and light showers and a snowflake or two mixing in overnight as temperatures drop into the low 30s. Winds will still be breezy, but out of a northwest direction at 15 mph, gusting up to 25 mph overnight. This will bring wind chills down into the 20s.

FRIDAY: The day will start with cloudy skies and cold temperatures with wind chills in the morning in the 20s. Clouds will decrease and temperatures will stay cool in the afternoon, reaching into the mid 40s. It will still be breezy with northwesterly winds at 15 mph, gusting to 25 mph at times. Winds will diminish during the evening.

EXTENDED: Sunshine continues into the weekend as temperatures rebound near 50 on Saturday and in the middle 50s for St. Patrick’s Day making for a fantastic weekend to get out and about. Nights will be chilly, dipping to near 30. A good portion of next week looks quiet, with a slight warming trend. Our next chance of rain returns Tuesday night into Wednesday.
