Randolph County man charged with child sex crimes

A Randolph County man is being charged on multiple counts relating to sex crimes between two children.

Moberly police were recently made aware of multiple sex crimes involving a Moberly area man. Robert Whitezell is being accused of multiple counts of sex crimes, including two counts of second-degree child molestation and one count of first-degree sexual abuse.

According to the children, Whitezell had abused them multiple times between between 2016 and December 2018. A probable cause statement shows one of the children had been inappropriately touched by Whitezell as well.

In the same release from Moberly police, Whitezell denies any wrongdoing. The statement shows Whitezell denied touching the child inappropriately, he also said he was never alone with the child.

Whitezell is being held in the Randolph County Jail. His first court appearance is scheduled for April 1, 2019.
