Tracking summer heat and isolated storms this weekend

This Afternoon: Highs approaching 90 with partly cloudy skies. A pop-up storm is possible under the afternoon heat.

Tonight: Cooler overnight in the mid-60s with clouds passing through.

Extended: Scattered showers are possible to the far north early Saturday but will mostly dodge our area. A disturbance remains well enough north to keep rain out of the forecast throughout the day. That will allow high temperatures to reach the low 90s so take caution heading outdoors and stay hydrated! Saturday night into Sunday scattered showers and storms form along an incoming boundary that exit by the afternoon hours. Most areas see little to no rainfall this weekend with totals up to 0.25" possible. Highs continue to increase into next week into the mid-90s with drier conditions.
