Compton man sentenced to over 11 years in prison
A federal court in Jefferson City has now sentenced a Compton, California man to over a decade in prison after he pleaded guilty to drug distribution charges in September.
Shadeed Siefullah Muhammad, 42, is now set to serve 11 years and three months in federal prison without parole.
In September, Muhammad pleaded guilty to conspiring to distribute methamphetamine through the mail. Muhammad admitted in court he sent a total of just under four pounds of meth to 32-year-old Javiar Rosser, of Jefferson City in March and April of 2016.
Authorities say Muhammad also sent a third package to a residence at Lincoln University that contained just under two pounds of meth in March of 2017.
Four other people have pleaded guilty to their alleged roles in the crimes. Rosser, Robert Istill McNair, 32, of Jefferson City, Bria Royale Lanier-Richie, 24, of Jefferson City, and James Alexander Larkins, 39, of Columbia, are still awaiting sentencing.
We first told you about the crimes back in 2017 when a federal grand jury indicted several of the conspirators.
