City asks drivers to move cars from priority routes
Columbia city officials asked drivers to move parked cars off of priority routes Sunday morning.
In a news release, the city said snow accumulation had reached 2 inches and vehicles parked on marked priority snow routes may be ticketed and towed at the owner’s expense.
Information about priority routes is posted on the city’s website.
Removing vehicles from the priority snow routes allows plow operators to efficiently and safely plow and treat the priority routes, according to the release.
