Mid-Missouri Business Week: True/False Film Festival brings business to Columbia

The True/False Film Festival is underway in downtown Columbia.

Nickie Davis, with The District, estimated that the festival brings about 30,000 people from around the world to Columbia.

“I think that our businesses step up. A lot of the restaurants bring in ‘fast menus’ for people that are running from one movie to another. A lot of our retailers will hold packages or offer to ship packages for people that are coming in,” Davis said.

Davis also said local businesses look forward to this weekend throughout the year.

“While it’s only maybe a four-day event, it is definitely something that can sustain our businesses for quite a while,” she said.
