Columbia Neighborhood Watch to hold annual meeting

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

The Columbia Neighborhood Watch is set to hold its annual meeting Monday night.

Members of the Columbia Police Department are expected to attend. The meeting starts at 5:30 p.m. at City Hall.

The neighborhood watch is, "all about promoting community involvement in fighting crime by connecting people, information and ideas through our website, annual events and training sessions," according to the group's website.

CPD Assistant Chief Jill Schulde is scheduled to present the "State of the Watch" report.

The city's neighborhood watch has met three times this year as a group and holds online or in-person training sessions for interested residents.

Those interested can register for the online training sessions through the group's website. The next online training session is scheduled for Monday, Sept. 26.
