Gusty winds overnight, through Sunday– Cold air returns
WIND ADVISORIES IN EFFECT FOR ALL OF MID MISSOURI FROM MIDNIGHT TO 6PM SUNDAY
TONIGHT: We’re continuing to track a strong low pressure system spinning across the central plains. This will bring a quick hit of spring-like warmth early this evening before a strong cold front blasts through after dark. Once the front passes, winds are going to start cranking across the area. Temperatures fall into the upper 20s so we’ll have to watch for isolated slick spots into tomorrow morning.
SUNDAY: Winds will slowly die down through the afternoon. Don’t let the sunshine fool you. It’s going to be cold, with temperatures in the 30s for most of the day. With the strong winds, it will feel like the mid to upper 20s for much of the day. Don’t get out without your jacket on
EXTENDED: The next 7 days includes a rollercoaster ride of up and down temperatures as the atmosphere begins to “wake up” as spring approaches. We’re also tracking chances at precipitation on Wednesday and then again at the end of the week. We’ll continue to keep you updated on air and online, check back with us for the latest updates.
