Section of Old 63 closed after trash fire

A section of Old 63 in Columbia was set to be closed for two hours Friday afternoon after a fire in a trash truck.

The Columbia Fire Department said firefighters were called to put out a fire in a pile of trush after it ignited in a private trash truck. Old 63 between Bearfield Road and Grindstone Parkway would be closed for at least two hours, the department said in a tweet at 2:40 p.m.
