Moberly man arrested after Boone County chase

The Boone County Sheriff’s Department confirms a man is facing charges after a chase Thursday evening.

A stolen vehicle report came out around 7 p.m. after a 2018 Chevy Spark was stolen from the Imo’s Pizza parking lot on Business Loop.

Deputies spotted the vehicle around Prathersville Road and a chase ensued.

The chase ended near Stadium Boulevard and Old 63 around 7:30 p.m. in Columbia after spike strips were deployed.

Joshua Beck, of Moberly, was taken into custody. He is facing tampering with a motor vehicle charges, resisting arrest, and careless and imprudent driving.
