Kingdom City couple charged with selling methamphetamine

A Kingdom City couple was charged Tuesday with selling methamphetamine.

Callaway County prosecutors charged Dexter Richmond and Mindy Cook with possession and intent to sell methamphetamine. Cook was also charged with possession of paraphernalia. Deputies stopped a vehicle and found pills, plastic baggies and a digital scale on Cook, the sheriff’s office said. Deputies also found Richmond had three baggies of meth, money, and marijuana on his person., the sheriff’s office said.

Deputies had previously obtained a search warrent for the room at the Motel 6 where Richmond and Cook had been staying. When deputies saw Richmond and Cook leaving the motel in their car, they feared the narcotics were being removed from the room and immediately stopped the car, the sheriff’s office said.

Richmond had been arrested for distrubution in the past.

Cook and Richmond were booked into the Callaway County Jail. Bond for cook was set at $11,000 and Richmond’s bond had not been determined.
