Freezing drizzle and snow ending later today

SUNDAY: That chance of seeing some freezing drizzle and snow will linger into the morning hours today. Elevated surfaces and untreated roadways could see a glaze of ice, so be cautious if you’re heading out this morning. This system will move out of Mid-Missouri by the afternoon, leaving us with mostly cloudy skies. Temperatures will struggle to warm much today, only topping out in the low 30s.

TONIGHT: Quiet weather sticks around into the overnight hours. Winds will turn back out of the northwest tonight, moving in some slightly cooler air. Overnight lows will dip into the low 20s with mostly cloudy skies holding.

EXTENDED: We stay dry on Monday with cloud cover lingering and temperatures once again struggling to warm much above freezing in the afternoon. The first part of Tuesday looks dry, but we’ll be tracking our next round of winter weather by the afternoon. As a low pressure system lifts northeast, it will bring the return of snow back to Mid-Missouri. Accumulations look likely, and if this system moves in early enough, could be affecting the evening commute Tuesday. Snow moves out Wednesday morning and by the afternoon temperatures make it back above freezing. Temperatures will gradually warm up throughout the week, with a chance at seeing 50 degrees by next weekend. Watch ABC 17 News for the latest forecast and check back here for updates.
