Mexico Hardee’s suffers significant damage after fire

The Hardee’s in the 700 block of W Jackson in Mexico, Missouri, suffered significant damage after a fire broke out in the business early Friday morning.

Fire Officials said they arrived at the scene around 1:19 a.m. Friday morning and battled the fire for more than four hours.

Officials were alerted to the flames coming from the building by people in the area. When they arrived on scene, crews found flames coming from the exhaust on the roof. They fire had originated in the office of the building.

The office area suffered signficant fire damage, according to the Mexico Public Safety Department. The rest of the building had significant heat and smoke damage.

There were no reported injuries, and fire officials are investigating what caused the fire.
