Men arrested after Columbia raid wanted for robbery

Police arrested two robbery suspects after a raid last week in north Columbia.

David J. Galentine, 18, and Jamieon D. Parker, 21, both of Columbia, were arrested after detectives and a Columbia Police Department SWAT team raided an apartment at 2607 Eastwood Drive off Clark Lane on Friday afternoon. Both men were charged with first-degree robbery and armed criminal action and were in the Boone County Jail without bond Monday.

Police released no other information about the raid or accusations against the men.

Galentine and Parker are accused in the Jan. 28 robbery at the Aspen Heights apartment complex in south Columbia during which $5,000 and a video game system were stolen, according to probable cause statements filed in their cases. Galentine and Parker also implicated another man, Jaylen James, alleging he set up the robbery, according to the statements.

James is out on bond awaiting trial on second-degree assault and armed criminal action charges in connection with a December shooting that also occurred at Aspen Heights. The shooting was first reported as accidental.

The Friday raid took place after police were sent to the Eastwood apartment after a woman reported that Parker assaulted her, according to the probable cause statement.
