Bomb threat at Columbia Mall discovered to be unsubstantiated

Columbia police said a bomb threat at the Columbia Mall Sunday morning was unsubstantiated.

Authorities said they investigated around 10:30 a.m. after receiving a call that there was an explosive device in the building.

No device turned up during an extensive search.

The investigation is ongoing, and police have not shared any suspect information.
