One dead in Audrain County house fire
One person died after a house fire in Audrain County Saturday morning.
Paula Sites, 64, was found dead in the home in the 13800 block of County Road 208 around 9:30 a.m., according to Little Dixie fire officials.
A neighbor reported the fire at 2:30 a.m. Saturday. Authorities said when they arrived, the home was fully involved in the fire and required mutual aid. Officials with Boone County Fire Protection District said the district sent a tanker truck to the scene.
Authorities did not find anyone inside the home on their initial search. Officials said damage to the home was too extensive to determine a cause of the fire.
