Man charged in MU student death booked into jail

The man charged with delivering drugs to a University of Missouri student who later died is now in the Boone County Jail.

The jail told us it booked in Carson L. Latimer, 19, of Saint Louis today around noon. His booking is in connection to the death of Boston Perry, 19, of Bethalo, Ill.

A witness found Perry unresponsive in his MU dorm room, and claims she earlier saw Latimer sell 19 Percocet pills to Perry on Jan. 21, court documents said. When investigators found a bottle near Perry’s body on Jan. 22, there were 4 and a half pills inside, documents said.

Police claim when they searched Latimer’s dorm room, they found marijuana and a pill matching the imprint of the Percoet found next to Perry’s bed. Before he died, Perry was living in Mark Twain Residence Hall on the University of Missouri’s Columbia campus.

Latimer now faces a $50,000 cash-only bond.

The entire probable cause statement for the case is attached to this article.
