Holts Summit man charged with drug possession and stealing following traffic stop
A man is expected in Callaway County court later this month after being arrested on drug and stealing charges during a traffic stop.
Mathew G. White, 27, of Holts Summit, was taken into custody around 11:55 a.m. Monday. Deputies said methamphetamine was found during the traffic stop.
According to a probable cause statement, White admitted to deputies he had sold a stolen utility and all-terrain vehicle to another man on Jan. 29.
Deputies said a UTV, an ATV, two dirt bikes and a trailer were reported stolen from a home in the Steedman area on Jan. 27.
White is accused of buying the stolen vehicles from another man who told him the items were “fresh out of the oven.”
Prosecutors have charged White with possession of a controlled substance, driving with a revoked license and four counts of stealing.
White is scheduled to appear in court Feb. 22 at 9 a.m.
