Tracking showers clearing up in time for Friday night football
This Afternoon: Rain exits to the southeast by late afternoon and evening, so skies look dry by kickoff. Mild under clouds with highs in the lower 80s.
Tonight: Clouds linger as activity exits to the east—lows in the upper 60s.
Extended: By early Saturday, we'll be watching a weak front pushing moisture south. In the afternoon, storms will begin to develop ahead of the front. Rainfall will be isolated, to sparsely scattered, so you'll still find plenty of dry time. By Sunday, the front pushes most of the moisture just south of us, but we can't currently rule out a stray shower. Still, you should expect a mostly dry day. Atmospheric moisture looks to be relatively modest through much of next week. However, thanks to an upper level low stubbornly lingering overhead, we'll still keep some lift in the atmosphere. This will lead to low-end rain chances through midweek, with only isolated showers possible. Otherwise, conditions look favorable for early September with highs in the mid to upper 80s.
