COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

Police are looking for a man accused of threatening people at a Columbia bank.

The unidentified man told customers at U.S. Bank on Business Loop 70 that he was going to shoot people Friday morning, a Columbia Police Department spokesman said. The man left when police arrived and officers chased him but didn't catch him, the spokesman said.

The incident led the Columbia campus of Moberly Area Community College to be locked down briefly, according to CPD.

A security guard at the bank said it wasn't clear if the man had a gun.
