Three men hospitalized after carbon monoxide exposure at airport

Three men were hospitalized Tuesday after they were exposed to carbon monoxide at the Omar Bradley Airport, Moberly police said.

According to a news release, someone called 911 to report two unresponsive people at the airport around 11:30 a.m.

First responders arrived on scene to find a 29-year-old man from St. Louis and a 27-year-old man from St. Charles unresponsive. A 25-year-old man from Huntsville also became unresponsive after emergency medical services arrived on scene.

Police said the men were overcome by carbon monoxide exposure while inside the hangar.

All three people were taken to a hospital, along with a Moberly firefighter who also suffered from carbon monoxide exposure.

Randolph County Ambulance, the Moberly Fire Department and the Missouri State Highway Patrol also responded to the scene.
