A welcomed visit from Spring sticks around into Sunday
SUNDAY: We could see some patchy areas of fog developing this morning as southerly winds continue to transport a steady stream of warm, moist air into Mid-Missouri. The best chance to see that fog or even a stray shower develop this morning will be in our northern counties. Those winds will become breezy this afternoon, helping raise temperatures from yesterday into the low to mid 60s.
TONIGHT: We’ll see a chance of light rain, but it looks to hold off until after midnight. Mostly cloudy skies and breezy winds holding out of the south up to 22 mph will prop temperatures up into the low 50s overnight.
EXTENDED: A cold front will move through Monday, but before that passage temperatures will make it back near 60 in the morning before falling to the mid 40s in the afternoon as clouds filter out. An unsettled weather patter moves in Tuesday with a chance of light rain courtesy of a lingering boundary. Depending on where this sets up and how much cold air moves in, we could see a wintry mix in addition to a localized flooding risk closer toward I-44. Rainfall amounts of 2 inches are possible in our southeastern counties with lower amounts farther north. With temperatures continuing to cool we could see a wintry mix on Wednesday, but a better chance of mostly snow Thursday. Overnight lows look to fall into the teens and highs in the 20s closing out the week. Watch ABC 17 News for the latest forecast and check back here for updates.
