Ashland man crashes into pond off Highway 63, troopers say

An Ashland man was able to walk away with minor injuries after crashing into a pond Saturday night, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol’s online crash reports.

The report said Kenneth Harmon, 61, was driving too fast for road conditions while on Highway 63 northbound near Forsee Road.

Harmon ran off the road, drove through a road sign, went down an embankment and crashed into a pond.

Troopers said Harmon was wearing a seat belt. He refused medical treatment.

They arrested him on suspicion of DWI, and he’s already posted a $1,500 bond.
