No injuries in fire near Centralia
No one was injured in a house fire Tuesday near Centralia.
A child called dispatchers Tuesday afternoon to report a fire at a home on Lake San Lynn Road south of Centralia, Boone County Fire Protection District Division Chief Gale Blomenkamp said.
The fire was in the front bedroom and crews saw smoke and flame coming from the window when they arrived, Blomenkamp said. Firefighters knocked down the fire from outside then entered the home to ensure it was out, he said.
The cause was under investigation Tuesday evening.
