Boone County detective confirms homicide investigation on Sarazen Drive

UPDATE, 5:20 p.m.: Boone County detective Tom O’Sullivan confirmed a man is dead and deputies are now investigating a homicide.

He said he couldn’t confirm the cause of death at this time, but there were reports of gun violence on Sarazen.

There is no suspect information to share, and there is no one in custody at this time.

UPDATE: Boone County detective Tom O’Sullivan confirmed Sunday that the sheriff’s office was investigating a homicide on Sarazen Drive.

He said he was working to get more details and more information will be forthcoming.

ORIGINAL STORY: Authorities are investigating after reports of gun violence on Sarazen Drive in northeast Columbia.

Boone County Sheriffs Deputies reported to the scene along with paramedics around 7 A.M. Sunday.

The street was been blocked off with crime scene tape.

Law enforcement officials and paramedics later moved to Demaret Drive where they entered a building. That location was not taped off.
