Florida upsets Mizzou WBB, 58-56
The Mizzou women’s basketball team lost a tough game to Florida, 58-56, on Sunday afternoon.
The Tigers fell to 14-4 overall and 3-1 in the SEC. Meanwhile, the Gators improved to 5-12 overall and 1-3 in the SEC.
Florida ended the game on a 17-3 run to secure the win. The Gators outscored Mizzou 22-11 in the fourth quarter.
Amber Smith and Jordan Roundtree each had nine points to lead the Tigers. Sophie Cunningham had four points and eight assists. The former Rock Bridge standout fouled out of the game with less than a minute to go.
Up next – Mizzou will host Georgia on Thursday at 6 p.m.
