Columbia police only responding to injury crashes
UPDATE: The Missouri State Highway Patrol said it worked hundreds of crashes in central Missouri on Friday.
Troop F tweeted that it responded to 452 calls for service between 12 p.m. and 10 p.m. Troopers responded to 247 slide offs, 158 crashes, 6 possible injuries and no fatalities.

ORIGINAL: Columbia and Boone County authorities responded to multiple weather-related crashes Friday afternoon as heavy snow moved into the area.
The Columbia Police Department said it was only responding to injury crashes at 2:20 p.m. Friday.

Columbia officers responded to a crash on Scott Boulevard near Rollins Road after a vehicle knocked over a light pole around 10 p.m.

Route WW was closed at Rustic Road for at least two hours because of the weather and road conditions. ABC 17 News crews on scene said cars were being sent up the hill one at a time.
Missouri State Highway Patrol, Troop F said it was working multiple calls and urged drivers to avoid travel.

The Boone County Fire Department said if a car has caution tape on it, that means it has been checked by authorities.
