One dead after shooting at Moser’s on Keene Street

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

Columbia Police confirmed one person is dead after a shooting in the parking lot of Moser's grocery store on Keene Street.

Passerbys noted the area was shut down starting around 4:30 p.m.

Police have not shared any suspect information at this time, and the next of kin have yet to be notified.

ABC 17 crews on the scene counted at least 13 police cars, a K-9 unit and an ambulance.

Christian Tabak with the Columbia Police Department said CPD responded to a report of shots fired at 4:20 p.m. "Upon arrival, we found a homicide victim, an adult male, the investigation is still on going" said Tabak.

Tabak said this is an ongoing investigation and the department doesn't "have much more to share at this point." Tabak said upon arrival CPD worked quickly to secure the scene.

CPD said there is currently no suspect information, and no arrests have been made at this time.
