Police: Columbia woman waves gun in home with juveniles

A Columbia woman was arrested on Sunday after she allegedly waved a gun around inside a residence where there were multiple juveniles.

Octavia C. Taylor, 30, got in a disturbance with the victim early Sunday morning, according to Columbia Police Department spokesman Jeff Pitts. The victim told police Taylor hit her in the back of the head with her hand, and there was an injury supporting the victim’s claim.

Taylor also allegedly got a handgun and was waving it around in the residence where there were multiple juveniles present.

Taylor was arrested on suspicion of endangering the welfare of a child. Her bond is set at $20,000.
