Traffic delayed in Jefferson City due to motorcycle crash

JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. (KMIZ)

A motorcycle crash on Highway 54 delayed traffic for just over half an hour Sunday afternoon.

Jefferson City Police responded to the crash at 2:37 p.m. A motorcyclist, Kayla Donath, crashed into the guardrail after losing control while taking a curve in the road.

The crash happened in the 1100 block of Highway 54 West in the eastbound lane.

Donath sustained minor injuries from hitting the pavement. She was taken to University Hospital by ambulance.

The road was reopened after about 45 minutes, according to Jefferson City Police.
