TODAY: It’s a chilly start to the morning with temperatures holding steady in the upper 30s. Clouds will become overcast through the day with a slight chance of afternoon showers, as a warm front lifts through the region. TONIGHT: Rain becomes widespread through the night, with an isolated chance for a thunderstorm. Despite the rain and clouds temperatures will steadily increase through the night ahead of a strong cold front. Accompanying the rain will be windy conditions, with winds out of the southeast up to 25 mph and gusts as high as 30. Any lightweight Christmas decorations or items you have outside may need to be secured or brought in through the night. It will be warm Thursday with highs in the lower 60s as southerly winds increase, gusting to 32 mph at times. Once the cold front clears the region, temperatures will fall to more winter-like numbers. Friday will be much colder with highs in the upper 30s to near 40 and overnight lows near 20. As another upper wave passes through, there is a slight chance of light snow Saturday with minor accumulation expected. High temperatures will only reach the freezing mark Saturday, dropping to near 20 overnight. Sunshine returns Sunday and will bring temperatures up into the upper 30s which is normal for this time of year.
